After School Enrichment

Class Descriptions:

Fairy Tale STEM

In Fairy Tale STEM, students will explore familiar fairy tales through simple, hands-on building activities. Each activity, will connect a story to a building challenge—such as building a carriage for Cinderella, building the tallest beanstalk for Jack, designing a chair for the three bears or a castle that will protect the princess from the dragon. (Depending on time.) Students will plan, build, test, and improve their structures using a variety of classroom materials. The class focuses on problem-solving, basic engineering concepts, and making connections between stories and real-world design. This enrichment class offers a creative space for students who enjoy building, thinking, and exploring stories in a new way.

Team Sports

Team Sports will cover a variety of team oriented activities geared towards cooperative play, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Some of the games that we could play include soccer, basketball, dodgeball, Gaga Ball, scooter activities, and floor hockey.

Super Seeds Book Club!

In this book club, students will read Mrs. Giammario's recently published book Listen, Little Ears which is based on the parable of the Sower and the Seeds in the Bible. Students will have the opportunity to participate in skits and crafts related to the story! Students will also plant seeds and learn about plants! Each student will receive a signed copy of the book and a plant of their own!

We’ll drum, tap, ring, shake, and play together while building confidence, creativity, listening skills, and teamwork! No prior musical experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to make some music!

STEM - Mini Golf

Let's play mini golf in the library! But first, you'll need to design your own mini golf hole with obstacles using science and math. This is the library, so we will be making this course book-themed!
