Coding Adventures - Mrs. Williams

Welcome to "Coding Adventures," an exciting and engaging program designed to introduce young learners to the world of coding in a fun and interactive way! Our class is tailored for elementary school students and covers a variety of activities that build foundational coding skills through hands-on experiences.

Throughout the course, students will explore unplugged coding activities that teach essential coding concepts without the need for a computer. These activities will enhance their problem-solving and logical thinking abilities through games and puzzles.

We'll dive into the digital realm with coding games and block coding platforms such as Scratch and Minecraft Coding. These tools allow students to create their own interactive stories, animations, and games, fostering creativity and computational thinking.

Our class also features coding robots like Bee, Botley, and Sphero. Students will learn to program these robots to complete tasks and challenges, developing their understanding of sequences, loops, and conditions in a tangible way. As a highlight of the course, students will have the opportunity to design and create their own obstacle course for the Sphero robots, which will be showcased during STEM Night.

Join us on this adventure and watch your child's coding skills and imagination soar!
